Prevention Efforts on Campus

Want to get involved even more? Check out the following organizations, events and campaigns that happen on campus:

Safe Place: Be a volunteer! Safe Place provides advocacy, emergency shelter, counseling, support groups, safety planning, information and referrals to survivors of relationship violence and their minor children.

Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Team (SACI): Responds to the needs of those impacted by sexual violence and works to create a socially just community.

Vagina Monologues: Raises awareness about, and funds for, the issue of violence against women.

Every 2 Minutes (E2M) Theatre Troupe:  Provides MSU with an educational, interactive theatre troupe that advocates sexual assault prevention.

Self-Defense Club: This two-hour FREE self defense workshop provides common sense and practical information regarding sexual assault prevention.

Lansing Take Back the Night: Take Back the Night is an international organization, started in 1975, to empower survivors of sexual and domestic violence to give their experiences a voice, in a very public way. Lansing Take Back the Night events are held annually on MSU campus and in the surrounding community.

Women’s Alliance: MSU Women’s Alliance seeks to educate and support the MSU community on women’s issues. Women’s Alliance holds monthly meetings and events and serves as a unified body of support for other women’s groups on campus.
